City Rubble Site


Rubble Site Location:

Hwy 25, East side of road, South edge of town


Rubble Site Hours:

  • Summer Months: May 1st - October 31st

          Tuesday 10:00am to 12:00pm and 4:00pm to 6:30pm

          Thursday 10:00am to 12:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:30pm

          Saturday 10:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm


  • Winter Months: November 1st - April 30th

        Closed, however residents can call the finance office at (605) 583-2320 during regular office hours to

        schedule a time to deliver items to the Rubble Site during the week.


Items accepted year round: Tree branches and UNTREATED lumber (has NO paint or varnish), Grass, leaves, and garden clippings, and scrap iron which includes metal appliances.


The Rubble Site CANNOT accept TV sets, computer monitors, ash, waste oil, petroleum contaminated soil, asbestos containing materials, lead acid batteries, tires, herbicide/pesticide containers, household, hazardous or special wastes.


Proper disposal of waste is highly regulated by the government. It is in the best interest of the entire community to follow the Rubble Site regulations.
