Oath of Office - The oath of office was administered to Alderman Ward III Randy Abbink, 2-year term.

The special meeting of the City of Scotland was called to order by Mayor Curtis Hofer at 5:00pm on Monday, May 16, 2022. The following council members answered to roll call: Randy Abbink, Tim Asche, Myles Runyon Dennis Bietz and Randy Thum. Those council members absent were Sean Barrett. Others present were Finance Officer Tanya Bult.

A motion was made by Thum, second by Bietz to enter into executive session at 5:00pm for Personnel as per SDCL 1-25-2 Sub (1). All voted in favor.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Bietz, second by Abbink to come out of executive session at 5:31pm with the following action taken. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Asche, second by Runyon to give the following raises effective immediately to employees:  Chris Simantel to $21.00 per hour; Tristan Bult to $19.00 per hour; Tanya Bult to $22.00 per hour. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

With no further business to discuss a motion was made by Bietz, second by Abbink to adjourn the meeting at 5:35pm. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
